Belmond, by Belmonte — Meet the designer reimagining Bathurst.
For Zac Belmonte, design has always been more than colours and typefaces — it’s about bringing life back into the places and stories that matter most.
“I grew up in Bathurst, and I’ve watched our CBD go through so many changes,” Zac says. “It’s a beautiful city with so much history, but right now it feels a little tired. I want Belmond to play a part in its revival — helping businesses stand out, shopfronts feel alive, and our streets tell stories again.”
Zac’s path to founding Belmond began with years of experience in graphic design, marketing, and digital storytelling, working with brands big and small. But no matter where his work took him, he kept coming back to the same question: how can design make a difference in his hometown?
Belmond is his answer.
The studio exists to give Bathurst businesses — and organisations everywhere — the creative support they need to thrive. From brand identity and signage to scroll-stopping campaigns and content, Zac blends strategy with imagination to create designs that don’t just look good, but connect with people.
He’s especially passionate about collaborating with local entrepreneurs, cafés, and retailers who share a vision for a vibrant Bathurst. By crafting bold branding and helping re-energise tired façades, Zac hopes to see a CBD where every shopfront tells its own story — and where design plays a role in breathing new life into the community.
Belmond isn’t just a creative studio. It’s a call to re-imagine what Bathurst can be: a place where heritage meets innovation, and where every business, big or small, feels proud to open its doors.
